אנחנו מתחילים היום את המסע הנחמד לקראת המקום הראשון בגוגל. השלב הראשון במסע הוא לספר לגוגל במה האתר שלכם עוסק. את זה אנחנו עושים בעזרת "מילות מפתח" (Key Words). כלומר, כשגולשים מחפשים מילים מסוימות, אנחנו רוצים שגוגל יבין שהאתר שלנו הוא התוצאה הטובה ביותר להראות לאותם גולשים. כדי לעשות זאת, אנחנו צריכים שמילות המפתח שהגולשים חיפשו יופיעו באתר שלנו.
אבל אנחנו לא יכולים ל"לנצח" בכל מילות המפתח. למשל, אם ננסה ללכת על "מכונית", אנחנו נתחרה מול חברות ענק, ויהיה לנו קשה מאוד להתברג לעמוד הראשון בגוגל. בשיעור היום נלמד איך לבחור מילות מפתח שמצד אחד יהיה לנו קל להתקדם בהן ושאין בהן יותר מדי תחרות, אבל מצד שני שבכל זאת יש מספיק אנשים שמחפשים אותן בגוגל.
